FDI has announced the winners of the Sustainability Ambassador Prize:
Dr. Anju James, from India and Dr. Ana Echeverria Manau, from Spain!
These outstanding individuals showcased their commitment to sustainability by completing the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Sustainability in Dentistry, and answering the final question to participate in the competition for the Ambassador Prize. The winners impressed the judges who were made up of members of the FDI Sustainability in Dentistry Task Team.
FDI’s Sustainability in Dentistry project was established to motivate and inspire commitment to reduce the collective CO2 footprint of dentistry, targeting practitioners, patients, and the supply chain itself. The project will produce a suite of tools and resources for dental practices and patients to be more environmentally sustainable.
The project is supported by founding partners: Haleon and Dentsply Sirona; partners: Sunstar; and supporters: Colgate, Kulzer, SDI Limited.
This Sustainability in Dentistry course was specifically crafted to empower dentists, dental teams, and students with knowledge about sustainable practices and the environmental impact of oral healthcare.
The MOOC is available in multiple languages including Arabic, Chinese, French, and Spanish ensuring that everyone can engage with and benefit from this essential learning experience.
