The X-Smart Pro+ endo motor has received an international design award. The device was honoured in the ‘User interfaces design (UI)’ and ‘Product design’ categories.
The jury stated: “Endodontics is one of the most demanding dental treatments. The X-Smart Pro+ user interface supports the dentist at every stage of treatment with the important information essential for successful treatment.
“The design style is clear, descriptive and emphasises the information that is important in each context. This way, the user interface design helps to make endodontic treatment easier and safer for patients and users.”
This award also recognises the work of ‘Puls Produktdesign’ from Darmstadt—a partner of Dentsply Sirona for many years in the design of new product solutions.
“We are delighted about this award,” said Mathias Kraus, vice-president Endodontic Solutions at Dentsply Sirona.
“It affirms our efforts to combine form and function to enable dentists to concentrate fully on the treatment rather than on the tool. An intuitively operable user interface provides them with significant support.”
