I had been aware of Estelite Sigma for quite a long time but didn\u2019t use it until we received some samples three years ago. I gave it a go and really liked the result. It\u2019s now the resin I use with the majority of my patients.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s good about it<\/strong>
\nThe \u2018Quick\u2019 version has a shorter setting time. It\u2019s not sticky like a lot of other resins which means its handling characteristics are far superior to anything else I\u2019ve used. It comes in 20 different colour shades but I find I only need to keep about three or four different shades on hand. It has a chameleon effect which allows it to blend in really well with the natural tooth.
\nA lot of resins require you to be spot-on with their colour or the restoration is extremely obvious. With this product, a shade like A3 can be used with a large range of teeth.
\nI use Estelite Sigma Quick for anterior and posterior fillings. In fact, I use it for pretty much everything. It\u2019s easy to handle, it cuts curing time by a third, it polishes well giving a natural appearance and, to top everything off, it\u2019s cheaper than most other resins.<\/p>
