It\u2019s great for restorative work, splint making and for maintaining patient records. Basically, you can use it for all your scanning needs with the added benefit that it\u2019s designed for use with Invisalign.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s good about it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is great technology to have in any dental practice. No more gooey impressions need to be taken which is more comfortable for patients, especially those with a delicate gag reflex.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s very accurate and the results are amazing. In the past, my crowns, bridges and splints required some adjustment. Instead of packing up models and physically mailing them, all the information is sent at the click of a button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We scan every patient and that\u2019s a good opportunity to educate them about the condition of their teeth. Once they\u2019ve seen the problem, you don\u2019t need to say much about it. Case acceptance is much higher since we\u2019ve been using the iTero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s not so good<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s technique sensitive so there\u2019s a bit of a learning curve. It\u2019s important to learn how to use the features of the machine and scan the patient correctly but once you get the hang of it, it\u2019s very fast and efficient.
