It also had a subscription fee attached to it. I needed something fast, accurate and reliable, so I upgraded to the Medit i900.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-s-good-about-it\">What\u2019s good about it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the latest version of the Medit scanners which utilises AI so it\u2019s faster to pick up data. It comes with a laptop loaded with the appropriate software and there\u2019s no subscription or download fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The handpiece is small, lightweight and easy to ensure full coverage in the mouth. It comes with two medium and two large heads that attach to the handpiece. There\u2019s a small one available as well for use with children. I\u2019ve noticed I get really good results with the medium head in full-grown men when scanning, particularly behind the upper sevens. Everything is clear and the results are produced quickly. The handpiece is attached by a cord to the unit as that\u2019s my preference. I don\u2019t like products connected wirelessly or by Bluetooth as I find they invariably have issues. I\u2019m old-school in that regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve only owned the i900 for a couple of weeks so I\u2019m still exploring all the options and various functions. This means there\u2019s a learning curve to get full value out of the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-s-not-so-good\">What\u2019s not so good<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re scanning, the unit plays music to let you know it\u2019s being done correctly. If you\u2019re doing it wrong, the music stops. This can be distracting. While there is an option to turn it off, it would be better if it was standard to have the music off and optional to turn it on.
