Other times,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;more obvious: a frustrated Practice Manager trying to lead without support,&nbsp;a&nbsp;Practice Owner stretched between treating patients and running the business,&nbsp;or a team burning out from a lack of clarity and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&nbsp;I\u2019ve&nbsp;learnt is this: most of the time, it\u2019s&nbsp;not a skills gap. It\u2019s a people gap. And people gaps don\u2019t get fixed with more Continuing Professional Development (CPD) slides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Real, lasting change comes from experiences that reconnect people\u2014not by talking&nbsp;at&nbsp;them, but by involving them shoulder to shoulder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-nbsp-owner-who-thought-they-had-to-hold-it-all-together-nbsp\">The&nbsp;Owner who thought they had to hold it all together&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Many Practice Owners never planned to be leaders\u2014they just wanted to help patients. Everyone was polite but disconnected. A few dominated conversations; the rest stayed silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started with LEGO\u00ae Serious Play\u2122,\u00a0an unexpectedly powerful tool that brings every voice to the table. When hands are busy building,\u00a0defences\u00a0drop, and people express thoughts and feelings they might not otherwise share.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of that session, the team was laughing\u2014not at the models (though some were hilarious), but at how much they\u2019d missed working together as a team. One person, who hadn\u2019t spoken in meetings for over a year, ended up suggesting a brand-new way of running morning huddles. She just needed a different way to find her voice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-real-nbsp-change-feels-like-momentum-nbsp\">Real&nbsp;change feels like momentum&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When I visit a practice after&nbsp;we\u2019ve&nbsp;done the&nbsp;work,&nbsp;I can&nbsp;usually&nbsp;feel it straight away &#8211;&nbsp;something\u2019s&nbsp;shifted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The front desk flows more smoothly. People talk to each other instead of about each other.&nbsp;There\u2019s&nbsp;less drama, more direction. Systems work. Staff stay.
