Earlier this month, FDI World Dental Federation proudly honoured three winners for their leadership and commitment to advancing sustainability in dentistry, among them the Australian Dental Association.

At the World Dental Congress in Shanghai, the FDI Sustainability Award was presented to not just the ADA but also Healthpoint Hospital (United Arab Emirates) and Dr Hindol Das (India)—in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

Their accomplishments reflect the diverse and international efforts being made to reduce dentistry’s environmental footprint and to promote sustainable practices in both clinical and organisational settings.

The FDI Sustainability Award plays a pivotal role in encouraging and recognising sustainability efforts within dental practices and among dental professionals worldwide. This prestigious award provides an opportunity for both individuals and organisations to gain global recognition for their outstanding contributions toward eco-friendly and sustainable dental care.

These awards highlight the profession’s shared commitment to a greener future and recognise the important role dental professionals and institutions play in shaping environmentally responsible healthcare.
