Two new forward-looking innovations from the international W&H Group are hitting the Australian sterilization market and will be a game changer for every dental practice.
First up – Lisa Mini Plus IOD: Extremely fast, small and flexible.
W&H recently launched an extremely fast, compact type B sterilizer. Thanks to an optimised cycle profile, the sterilizer can process wrapped loads including straight and contra-angle handpieces in less than 18 minutes. For unwrapped loads, it even takes less than 9 minutes. In addition, the mini version of the popular Lisa sterilizer from W&H is fully equipped and can keep up with all the features and functionalities of larger type B sterilizers.
Space-saving solution for reprocessing, thanks to its small dimensions, Lisa Mini takes up hardly any space in the reprocessing room.
The sterilizer can be positioned flexibly, and objects can even be placed on the top of the device. Lisa Mini plus IOD is therefore the ideal addition to existing table-top sterilizers or for the fast reprocessing of instruments. The sterilizer is available in two different chamber sizes. The 3 litre chamber can reprocess up to 15 handpieces, while the 5 litre chamber can reprocess up to 22 handpieces.
An intuitive user interface, the ergonomic design and, of course, the connection to ioDent® which is included for the first year by purchase till 31st of December 2025.
In short, the smallest sterilizer from W&H can compete with all larger type B sterilizers in terms of features and convenience.
Second up – the new thermal washer disinfector: THED – fulfils ever wish!
Like a genie in a bottle, W&H’s new thermal washer disinfectors – Thed and Thed+ – fulfil the wishes of every clinic. Developed by W&H, these innovative units offer powerful cleaning and disinfection, outstanding load flexibility, and faster reprocessing times. With features such as two washing levels, active air-drying with HEPA filter, and much more, Thed and Thed+ truly stand out in their class.

The Thed devices are highly efficient thermal washer disinfectors. Instruments can be cleaned, disinfected, and dried in less than 60 minutes. In addition, there is a special program for handpieces which carries out reprocessing in just 35 minutes. Thed+ takes innovation a step further: With the Eco Dry function, the device automatically recognises the amount of the load and adjusts the drying time to the optimum duration. Thed+ thus selects the appropriate program and adjusts the cycle time, as well as the water, process chemicals, and power consumption depending on the load. Both Thed and Thed+ are available as tabletop or undercounter versions, featuring two washing levels for optimal space utilisation of the 64-litre chamber. While the tabletop model of Thed works with the BePro cartridge system for added convenience, the undercounter version allows the chemicals to be neatly stored in an integrated drawer.
Both Lisa Mini Plus IOD and Thed/Thed+ are seamlessly integrated with ioDent®, offering clinics extended traceability and connectivity. Documentation is automatically saved, and cycle reports can be downloaded directly to PC or smart devices. Via ioDent®, clinics also benefit from remote service and monitoring, ensuring efficient device management and reduced downtime.
