Since we can remember, if history is anything to go by, every year, there just seems to be something that makes our lives more difficult. War, covid, floods and so on… The common theme this year is the “cost of living crisis.” Has this affected your dental practice? Or are you bored with clinical dentistry and would like to have more of a challenge, offer your patients a better service and gain far more satisfaction from your dentistry?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then perhaps now is the time to consider offering Orthodontics into your practice. Or if you are already offering aligners and/or Orthodontics, perhaps it’s a good time to increase and improve your knowledge, become more confident and therefore treat more cases to a higher quality finish.

The OrthoED Institute offers a range of courses. Since 2018, The OrthoED Institute has trained over 1,500 dentists across Australia and New Zealand. Head Tutor, Dr Geoff Hall has over 34 years’ experience as a world-leading Orthodontist treating over 12,000 cases to date and counting, because he is still a practising Orthodontist.

Our course modules are hosted across three cities in Australia for Face-to-Face learning – Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. (however, these are also available live streamed). You will earn CPD Points for all course options and as part of our OrthoED Institute family, you will have access to a range of education resources. Payment plans as well as pay in full options are available.

Mini Masters

The flag-ship Mini Masters Course offered by The OrthoED Institute covers everything Orthodontics over 10 modules and 25.5 days. It also includes our very popular Aligner Essentials and Advanced Aligners Modules.

Our Mini Masters course is not just about sitting in a room and listening to a presentation. We have hands-on workshops to assist you with your understanding. Five of our modules contain hands-on workshops. All hands-on workshops are performed on typodonts and we will teach all the clinical skills you need e.g. how to position brackets, tie in arch wires, adjust appliances and place bends in arch wires. You also have the option to obtain a Diploma in Orthodontics from UK accredited body EduQual.

Aligner Essentials

The Aligner Therapy market is fast growing and has been for many years. It’s a great opportunity for any general dentist to offer Aligner Therapy and increase their practice’s revenue. The entry level Aligner Essentials 3-day course will give you confidence to treat easy to moderate cases (approx. 80% of all cases that walk through your door) after only three days with Dr Geoff Hall and Dr Martin Poon. If you then want to increase your skills and knowledge to the next level, you can also complete the 2-day Advanced Aligners course with an option to obtain a Certificate in Clear Aligner Therapy with assessments offered again by EduQual.

Face to Face or Livestream

The OrthoED Institute offers two ways to study. Our Face-to-Face option is a great way to be present in a room full of like-minded and passionate driven dentists. However, if you prefer to sit in the comfort of your home or office and Livestream the modules, this option is available to you. Even if you choose the Live Streamed option, you will not miss out on the hands on as each year we have a dedicated one and half days hands-on session in Melbourne for each Live streaming cohort.
